In the framework of socialist and democratic liberalization, welfare-oriented policies and activities have been implemented in every nation. These NGOs are known for their philanthropic and humanitarian help approaches. NGOs now play a crucial role in welfare states and development initiatives. NGOs use a variety of strategies to manage current issues; many of them have discovered based and workable solutions to address major socio-economic and political issues. Growing populations, impoverishment, joblessness, and infectious and non-communicable illnesses are among the issues that growing nations frequently deal with these days. NGOs are referred to as not-for-profit organizations in India. These are renowned for their philanthropy and are frequently referred to as civil society groups. This theoretical research paper examines the many ways and tactics that nongovernmental organizations in India’s development sectors will employ. The functions that NGOs play in the socio-economic development of the country are also the subject of this study.
