This study investigates the impact of green human resource management (HRM) practices on sustainable performance in the agriculture sector of Jember Regency, Indonesia, and explores the mediating role of green innovation. The research is based on the pentahelix model, which brings together stakeholders from government, academia, business entities, society, and media to foster innovation in knowledge and sustainable agricultural products or services.A quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Path Modeling (SEM-PLS) was employed, with data collected from 125 farmers through quota sampling method. The findings reveal that green HRM practices, including green training and development, green rewards and compensation, and green knowledge sharing, have a significant positive effect on sustainable performance among farmers.Additionally, green innovation was found to mediate the relationship between green HRM practices and sustainable performance. The study contributes to the understanding of how green HRM practices and green innovation can enhance sustainable performance in the agriculture sector, while highlighting the importance of the pentahelix model in facilitating multi-stakeholder collaboration and innovation.
