This study investigated the mediating role of entrepreneurial career choiceandmotivation in the relationship between emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial action among 326 university students with MSMEs in Semarang, Indonesia.Questionnaire data was analyzed using SmartPLS.Emotional intelligence wasfound to positively influence entrepreneurial action.Further, both entrepreneurial career choice and motivation significantly mediated this relationship.The findings provide novel empirical evidence on how enhancing emotional competencies along with motivational and career interventions can promotestudents' entrepreneurial behaviors.The results have important practical implications for designing educational programs to develop entrepreneurial capacities among university youth.The findings have important practical implications for enhancing students' entrepreneurial competencies through emotional intelligence development.
