We study the Slepian spectral concentration problem for the spherical harmonic-Bessel band-limited functions in general Rᵈ, d 2. In particular, we prove the bimodal distribution of eigenvalues of the concentration operators and give the asymptotic characterization of the Shannon number given a linear relation between the Bessel bandwidth and spherical harmonic bandwidth.
