The modern period of digital transformation is characterized by the transition to the in-depth implementation of digital developments in various spheres of society, including healthcare. The article examines the organizational and legal aspects of digital transformation in medical institutions. The analysis of the targets and national objectives for the development of the information society of Russia for the period up to 2030, approved by the President of the Russian Federation, is carried out. The limits of the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in medical practice, the implementation of digital technologies by geographically separate units, and the features of digitalization of remote labor are considered.
