Mark your calendars! Preparations are underway for the next SEG/SPE Injection-Induced Seismicity Workshop, which will return to scenic Banff, Alberta, Canada, 16–17 June 2026. The 2026 workshop, the eighth in a series, will convene at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity — the same venue that hosted the 2014 workshop. The community of induced seismicity researchers, regulators, and industry representatives will again assemble to participate in the topical workshop, which represents an important collaboration between the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG). Geoscientists and engineers, mostly representing operating companies (oil and gas producers and midstream disposal companies) and service providers (particularly seismicity monitoring companies and consultants), will participate alongside members of academicia and regulators. An audience representing a broad spectrum of stakeholders from across North America, Europe, and Asia is expected.
