In this paper an improved electronically controllable lossy-parallel inductor circuit using two commercially available ICs LT1228, one capacitor and one resistor is presented. The value of simulated resistor and inductor can be tuned electronically by adjusting external DC bias current of the LT1228. The performance of proposed configuration is also inspected by considering the non-ideal effects of the LT1228. Lag compensator as an application example of the proposed circuit is given to justify the theoretical analysis. PSPICE simulation results and experimental measurements are also carried out to validate the feasibility of proposed circuit.
