Scales, Intervals, and Dissonance: Do Interpretations of Harmonized ACGME Milestone Levels Vary by User Role and Specialty?
Key Points
The research aims to explore how different specialties interpret ACGME Milestone levels and whether user roles affect these interpretations.
Analyzed interpretations of ACGME Milestones by different user roles
Compared subjective valuations between pediatricians and internists
Identified levels where distinctions were not significant among users.
Notable inconsistency in distinguishing certain Milestone levels among users
Pediatricians and internists showed varying subjective valuations on some Milestone levels.
Abstract
For some Milestones, users did not meaningfully distinguish some levels. We also found differences in the subjective valuation of some harmonized Milestone levels between pediatricians and internists.
