ABSTRACT Measurements of oxygen tension in the tear reservoir of a corneal contact lens on a human eye were made over a series of blink frequencies. Comparisons between these laboratory observations and the theoretical model, which predicts the oxygen tension levels of such systems as they reach stability, are described.
