ABSTRACT To address the thermal lens effect in optical isolators for high‐power laser systems, a Cerium fluoride (CeF 3 )‐based magneto‐optical anti‐reflection (MOAR) coating was designed and fabricated. Its performance was comprehensively characterized through a combination of first‐principles calculations and experimental measurements, enabling the computation of key magneto‐optical properties and the elucidation of the underlying mechanisms responsible for its strong Faraday effect and high transmittance. Results demonstrate that this MOAR coating exhibits outstanding performance at 1064 nm with a high Verdet constant (4.5 × 10 −3 rad/(µm·T)), high transmittance (>99%), and low thermal lens effect. These findings underscore the substantial potential of CeF 3 ‐based MOAR coating as high‐performance Faraday rotators for high‐power laser applications.
