Abstract

A novel 1D palladium( ii )–imidazole hybrid, (C 4 H 7 N 2 )PdCl 3 (H 2 O), was synthesized and structurally characterized. It shows semiconducting behavior ( E g = 2.18 eV) and enables highly sensitive electrochemical detection of hydroquinone (LOD = 0.02 µM).
