A new approach to constructing a two-dimensional model of the temperature of the earth’s interior is proposed in the article, based on solving the heat conductivity equation in a stationary mode with variable coefficients. For this purpose, a lithotype model was constructed based on seismic wave velocities measured along the sub-latitudinal profile of the Northern Tien Shan, which was later used to estimate the two-dimensional distribution of thermal conductivity of rocks in the section, taking into account its dependence on the background temperature.
