Adolescents in rural South Africa face significant mental health challenges due to socioeconomic factors and limited access to services. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with pre-post intervention assessments using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-21), administered to participants at baseline and six months post-intervention. Participants showed a statistically significant reduction in DASS scores from an initial mean of 35. 7 to 28. 9 after the group programme, with a confidence interval indicating a decrease of ±4. 0 (p < 0. 01). The adolescent mental health support group was effective in improving anxiety and depression symptoms among participants. Further research should explore long-term effects and scalability of the programme. Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
