Home-based RBC transfusions demonstrated excellent safety and efficacy profiles with lower adverse reaction rates than hospital-based transfusions. This study suggests that the JSTMCT guideline revisions should consider real-world practices, particularly initial transfusion requirements and hospital-clinic collaboration.
