District hospitals in Senegal have been identified as critical points for healthcare delivery, particularly in underserved areas where access to specialist care is limited. A mixed-methods approach combining quantitative data analysis from electronic health records with qualitative interviews to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement. The preliminary results indicate that the average turnaround time for diagnostic tests in district hospitals is 15 days, exceeding recommended standards by up to 30%. This study highlights significant operational inefficiencies in district hospital systems, particularly concerning diagnostic test processing times. Immediate measures should be implemented to reduce diagnostic delays and ensure timely patient care, including upgrading infrastructure and training staff on efficient workflows. District Hospitals, Senegal, Quasi-Experimental Design, Clinical Outcomes, Healthcare Delivery Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
