For measuring self-concept of secondary school students the present task was undertaken to standardized student’s self-concept scale. For this data were collected from secondary school students by adopting convenient sampling technique in combination with purpose sampling technique. An item pool was developed initially by consulting various sources and theoretical and empirical literature available in the concerned area. This item pool was put to evaluation and criticism by technical as well as language experts. The preliminary draft of student self-concept scale was further subjected to item analysis to select only highly discriminating items. The reliability of scale was ascertained with the help of t- test and split- half method which were found to be at the appreciably high the validity of students self-concept scale was also ascertained and norms established for interpretation of obtained scores on the scale. In the last conclusion have been presented and implication in the shape of the applicability and usefulness of self- concept scale have been discussed.
