Introduction Intramyocellular lipids (IMCL), altered by physical exercises, are associated with insulin sensitivity in skeletal muscle. However, the relationship between changes in IMCL composition due to exercise intensity and insulin sensitivity, along with the underlying molecular mechanisms, is not fully understood. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of exercise intensity on skeletal muscle lipid composition differences in improving insulin sensitivity through exercise.
