Gastronomy, as a cultural expression, has been a determining factor in the choice of destinations around the world. In this context, typical Mexican sweets, rooted in ancestral and regional traditions, represent a tourist attraction. The custom of handmade sweets in Mexico is one of the richest and most colorful manifestations. They are not only a delight for the palate, but also have a history and meaning that make them unique. Each region of the country has its own candies made with ingredients that reflect biodiversity. They are produced with specific skills and techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation in small factories or by families in their own homes. This artisanal process not only guarantees the quality of the product but also preserves the ancient recipes and cultural knowledge related to the elaboration of these delicacies. The objective was to analyze typical sweets as a cultural expression, their types and characteristics. It is concluded that their sale promotes the cultural identity of the communities. Artisans not only offer products, but also stories about their history and the elaboration process, which enriches the visitor's experience. Various candy festivals and gastronomic fairs are held annually in different cities, attracting visitors who wish to taste and buy traditional sweets.
