The RETIME project introduces innovative solutions for risk assessment and management in urban areas exposed to climate threats. This article provides an overview of applicable tools and data sources, as well as a preliminary analysis of risks and vulnerabilities in selected pilot areas (Lisbon, Žilina, Tartu). The criteria for selecting the tools included in the review and used in the analyses are based on the project requirements. The RETIME project places particular emphasis on facilities accommodating individuals with specific needs to ensure their protection and to promote inclusive solutions. The project includes the implementation of sensors in some pilot areas and the scanning of physical building structures to create their digital twins. The concept of a "Building Renovation Passport" is part of these activities and will provide a detailed overview of the condition of buildings and their renovation needs. The project commenced in January 2023 and is scheduled to conclude in December 2026. The findings presented in this article are not final and serve as a basis for the future project activities.
