The transportation of dangerous goods presents significant challenges to emergency response and public safety, particularly during road accidents. This contribution focuses on the development of an enhanced eCall system specifically designed for heavy goods vehicles transporting dangerous goods. The proposed system extends conventional eCall functionalities by incorporating key information into the Minimum Set of Data (MSD), including the UN code and the quantity of the dangerous goods being transported. This addition enables Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) to quickly identify the hazardous substance involved in an accident and access critical information required to guide intervention units, enabling more efficient decision-making, faster response times, and improved safety during accidents involving dangerous goods.
