This week’s guest is Nick Triolo, author of The Way Around, a field guide to going nowhere. Nick’s writing has appeared in Orion, Outside, and Trail Runner. He’s also a documentary filmmaker and long-distance trail runner. Nick lives in Missoula, Montana, and The Way Around is his first book. Nick talks about his documentary film experiences and how trail running led him to the idea of circumambulation, or circling a place with intention. He also explains one of the more local rounds in his book, which takes place at Butte’s Berkeley Pit. Find Nick’s book here.
