This research evaluates the National Forest Inventory (NFI) Information System in Lithuania, an advanced tool designed to modernise forest management through sophisticated technological integration. Founded in 2012, NFI Information System uses a robust SQL database and client-server architecture to optimise data processing, inventory accuracy and strategic policy development. This study focuses on the addition of a Python-based analytical environment that greatly enhances the system's data analysis and predictive modeling capabilities. We explore how the integration can effectively support decision-making and promote system flexibility in the face of remote field conditions and new technologies. Furthermore, we discuss the diverse roles of forests that demand sustainable management through advanced technology integration. The study emphasises the importance of ongoing innovation and security in managing sensitive forestry data, ensuring that NFI Information Syste remains a crucial asset in Lithuania's environmental system.
