Abstract Quantum networks face rate-induced instabilities arising from accelerating growth in the number of nodes, entanglement distribution rates, and synergistic accumulation of channel noise and repeater latency. Conventional quasi-static fidelity thresholds and probabilistic purification protocols often fail to anticipate cascades of entanglement loss.
