Background: One characteristic of sepsis is the dysregulation of the host's reaction to infection, which can result in potentially fatal organ failure.This work aimed to assess predictors and outcome of sepsis and septic shock induced acute kidney injury (AKI) in diabetic patients. Methods: This prospective observational study included diabetic patients aged over 18 years who were admitted with sepsis or septic shock in the Medical Critical Care Unit of the Specialized Medical Hospital, Mansoura University.
