Everyone heard of Orwellian politics and 1984, especially its most infamous slogans: War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Yet, have most people themselves not always supported these beliefs? Do not most people agree that militaries exist for maintaining peace, and that anyone who thinks otherwise is extremely naive? Do not most people agree that people are freer today than ever before, despite "working" more than ever before (Schor, 1991), and despite most modern "work" being purely ceremonial, a concept known by its technical name of "bullshit jobs" (Graeber, 2018)?... Fun Fact (International Labor Organization ILO et al., 2022): Did you know that, in absolute terms, there are more slaves today than there were during the colonial slave trades? ...Do not most people agree that that "ignorance is bliss"?... Did humanity not abolish slavery? The only thing humanity ever abolished, is common sense. People believe "Orwellian" is a concept that excludes people, and applies exclusively to authorities, governments, systems... which are not made up of people?...
