We commend Kim et al. for their insightful study linking access-related hand dysfunction (ARHD) to skeletal muscle atrophy following hemodialysis access placement.1 While their findings advance our understanding of ARHD, we wish to highlight three methodological limitations that may refine the interpretation of their mechanistic conclusions.
