The purpose of this study is to find out the factors that tourists are expecting through domestic food tourism. It is also important to understand the factors necessary for the successful operation of domestic food tourism. There are numerous food-related festivals in Korea, but the festivals preferred by tourists are limited. It is necessary to identify existing food festivals that are operating successfully and make efforts to attract more tourists. This study was conducted as a focus group, and the opinions of a total of 12 people were summarized as follows. In order for domestic food tourism to be successful, the importance of publicity must be emphasized, because it is efficient to inform tourists of the differentiated festival contents. It was found that tourists want delicious food, friendly service, reasonable price, and convenient facilities through food tourism. In addition, it was found that tourists prefer to experience content differentiated from other festivals. Since there are many food festivals across the country, tourists want new and special content that cannot be experienced in other festivals. A clean environment is an important issue in food festivals and it is necessary to pay attention for the health of tourists. The fact that local food festivals continue to attract many tourists has a positive effect on the economic development of the region.
