POAG patients exhibit a systemic oxidative imbalance characterized by elevated oxidative damage and reduced antioxidant capacity. The positive correlation between CoQ10 and 8-OHdG may suggest a complex, compensatory relationship.This systemic imbalance is associated with POAG but does not correlate with clinical disease severity in cross-sectional analysis. This suggests it may reflect a systemic component of the disease rather than a direct marker of severity.
