In this paper we propose a formalism for the representation of discourse in RRG to facilitate the analysis of context-sensitive linguistic phenomena. Within the ‘cognitive model of context’ discourse affects all aspects of grammar. Therefore, it is essential to develop a module that represents discourse in the general architecture of RRG. The first RRG proposal in this direction extended the Focus Structure Projection adding Discourse Representation Structures from Discourse Representation Theory. We revise and extend the existing proposal, addressing the formal and theoretical issues that it raised, while pursuing the objective of RRG to capture the syntax-semantics-discourse interfaces in a parallel architecture theory of grammar.
