This study evaluated the internal structure and criterion validity of the Male Body Dissatisfaction Scale (MBDS) in a Colombian sample. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was employed to examine the dimensional structure of the instrument, while convergent validity was assessed using the Average Variance Extracted (AVE). Additionally, criterion validity was analyzed through the Expected Cross-Validation Index (ECVI) and the Heterotrait-Monotrait ratio of correlations (HTMT). The findings offer empirical support for the internal structure and discriminant validity of the MBDS, contributing to the psychometric evidence base for its use in assessing body dissatisfaction among Colombian men.
