Key Points

  • This research aims to sequence the genome of a multidrug-resistant E. coli strain from wastewater, identifying its antibiotic resistance traits.
  • Isolated Escherichia coli strain ASK-30 from wastewater.
  • Conducted draft genome sequencing.
  • Analyzed the presence of antibiotic resistance genes.
  • Identified multiple antibiotic resistance genes, including bla CTX-M-15 and bla TEM-1.
  • Confirmed the strain's multidrug-resistant characteristics.

Abstract

ABSTRACT We report the draft genome sequence of the multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli strain ASK-30 isolated from wastewater in a northern state in India. Its genome harbors bla CTX-M-15 , bla TEM-1 , and other antibiotic resistance genes.
