This contribution deals with security issues in e-commerce Applications. This paper describes how people can trust e-business, which leads the reader to have a brief understanding of various security threats and related trust issues in e-commerce Applications. For the effective operation of the e-commerce applications, security is a key issue. Various aspects of security are relevant to e-commerce. These include database security role-based access control, e-commerce security and XML security. Electronic commerce is a new way of engaging in timeless activities-interacting, bartering, and transacting with people and businesses. In a letter written in 1810, Thomas Jefferson said,
