AI technologies, that have gained widespread popularity in 2023, such as ChatGPT-4 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), are a current trend in scientific research and practical application. Neural networks can reduce the risks of manipulation to influence people’s behavior and avoid a person making the wrong choice. They are also in demand in various fields of science and practical application, but their potential may not be realized without reliable confirmation of the accuracy of the solutions they suggest. This review article discusses selected aspects associated with changes in mental processes during human interaction with AI; the article assesses possibility of reducing the risks of psychological manipulation with the help of AI, and the probable causes of cognitive distortions that hinder the integration of AI into various spheres are also considered.
