Metallic glasses (MGs) exhibit diverse heterogeneities—elastic, structural, and temporal—whose origins and connections remain unclear. This dissertation focuses on large elastic fluctuations in MGs and their link to underlying structure and dynamics. By analyzing Zr-based and Vit105 MGs with varying sizes and energy states, the work aims to reveal elastic correlation lengths and establish a framework linking microstructure to mechanical behavior.
