The synchrotron radiation metrology station Kosmos operates in the soft X-ray range and, along with metrology studies, provides the possibility of measuring EXAFS and XANES spectra in the energy range of 2–10 keV. Tuning according to the energy scale is performed with the use of glitches, which allows for increased reproducibility of the results. The new monochromator covering the energy range of up to 480 eV was used in the measurement of the XANES spectra of test samples near the K edge of Al (1559 eV) and the L edge of copper (932.7 eV). The designs of both monochromators and examples of spectra are presented.
