Solidipes is an Python-based, open-source, research data curation tool, created by Dr. Guillaume Anciaux at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). Originally designed to facilitate the publication of high-quality datasets in the field of computational solid mechanics, the tool was developed within the framework the Swiss ETH Board ORD Measure 1 (Field-Specific Actions). As of March 2026, solidipes includes contributions from EPFL's ENAC-IT4R team, Laboratory of Astrophysics, and Library. It can now support a variety of use cases thanks to an extensible architecture. This presentation summarizes the history, current achievements and roadmap of the project. The presentation was followed by a live demo of some basic features (image and tabulated data quality checks, metadata preparation and dataset publication to the Zenodo sandbox).
