The geology, topology, fauna, and flora of the alpine and subalpine zone between Oritate and Mt. Suisho-dake in Toyama Prefecture were researched. Plant fossils were collected on the western slope of Mt. Suisho-dake. About 30 species and 50 individuals of insects were collected. This survey was conducted in late August, so there were few flower-visiting insects, but a large number of Chorthippus kiyosawai Furukawa, 1950 were observed.
