Abstract

About 200 y may be required to attain the biomass of mature forest for moderate-use pastue sites. Light-use sites might reach forest stature more quickly (100 y) if they are not plagued with heavy vine loads. Possible that some heavy-use sites might require 500 y or more to develop into forest again.
