When studying partial oxidation of propane with molecular oxygen in the presence of bimetallic catalytic mixture RhCl3/Cu(OOCCF3)2-NaCl in the C3F7COOH/H2O medium, new heterometallic chloride-bridged inorganic coordination polymer Cu(H2O)4RhCl5(H2O)n (CCDC No. 2457532) is discovered and structurally characterized by the single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis using synchrotron radiation. Its crystal structure contains 1D polymeric chains linked by hydrogen bonds mediated by solvating water molecules, and the rhodium atom is in an unusual coordination environment consisting of five chlorine atoms and one oxygen atom.
Yakushev et al. (Sun,) studied this question.
