Addressing long‐standing gaps in how the justice system engages with people living with serious mental illness is the focus of a coordinated national initiative launched by the Treatment Advocacy Center (TAC) and the Schizophrenia & Psychosis Action Alliance (S&PAA). The organizations are inviting policymakers, legal experts, clinicians, and individuals with lived experience to help shape what they describe as a new National Mental Illness Justice Center.
