Lichen simplex chronicus (LSC), commonly referred to as neurodermatitis, is recognized for its association with a spectrum of mental health conditions. However, previous studies have been restricted to predominantly white or Asian cohorts, and have exclusively concentrated on mood and anxiety disorders. In this study, we report on the association between lichen simplex chronicus (LSC) and various psychiatric conditions, highlighting a nearly two-fold increase in the likelihood of mental health diagnoses among patients with LSC across different ethnic and racial backgrounds.
