Abstract: Against the backdrop of accelerating global aging, cross-regional and interdisciplinary academic collaboration has become increasingly urgent. Geriatric Nursing (ISSN 3105-658X, eISSN 3105-6598, CODEN: LHABA5, DOI prefix: https://doi.org/10.66106/lhaba5) has recently been officially indexed by ResearchGate, the world's largest academic social platform. With over 20 million registered users covering nearly all research institutions globally, ResearchGate is often referred to as the "Facebook for researchers." Unlike traditional database indexing, the core value of ResearchGate lies in constructing direct dialogue and collaboration networks among researchers. For the field of geriatric nursing, which heavily relies on clinical practice and multidisciplinary integration, the value of academic social platforms is particularly prominent—nurses, physicians, social workers, and policy researchers can share cases, discuss protocols, and track frontiers on the same platform. Following its indexing by this platform, the journal will leverage its socialized dissemination mechanisms to enable geriatric nursing research outputs to reach frontline practitioners more quickly and promote the formation of a global aging research community. This article analyzes the value of ResearchGate in promoting interdisciplinary collaboration from the perspective of the specific needs of geriatric nursing and elaborates on the journal's global dissemination strategy.
