ABSTRACT Information technology (IT) in furniture designing can help designers to know design trends and transform the furniture designing. This work is an attempt to learn how consumers perceive furniture design and the role of IT in the production of sustainable furniture and the manufacture of emotionally engaging, timely, and personalized furniture. The purposive sampling method was employed in this study to collect data from two distinct groups of designers. There were a total of 400 responses: 220 furniture designers who utilized IT and 180 designers who did not. The responses were analyzed using Statistical Package of Social Sciences software, and it was found that IT in furniture design enhances sustainability because it promotes the use of environmentally friendly materials and minimizes carbon footprints. The originality of the study lies in providing consumers with information technology that offers tailored, safe services and diversified furniture options.
