Abstract

This study attempts to examine the gender differences inthe patterns of substance abuse amongout of school youths in Kano metropolis. The study was guided by four objectives and four research questions. The study adopted descriptive survey design and the population of the study comprises of out of school youths who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study. A sample of 463 out of school youths were drawn from eight local government areas in Kano metropolis, 257 male and 206 female respectiv
