This research paper provides a comprehensive analysis of women’s participation in Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha elections from 2002 to 2022. Drawing on official Election Commission of India data, the study examines trends in candidacy, electoral success, party-wise nomination patterns, and structural barriers. Despite gradual improvement over two decades, women remain underrepresented, highlighting the need for institutional and policy reforms.
