The results obtained when antibiotics have been employed for this purpose have been quite variable. In some instances chemoprophylaxis has been eminently successful, in others it has failed completely, while in still others no conclusion can be reached because of the inadequacies of the available data.Chemoprophylaxis has been used primarily for four purposes: (1) to protect healthy individuals, either singly or in groups, against...Bibliography1.
