Hexagonal Antimonene Thiol-functionalized β-antimonene hexagons produced by colloidal synthesis are illuminated by a probing laser beam. Raman thermometry reveals thickness-dependent heating and surface oxidation, while surface thiols preserve the crystalline core, enabling controlled antimony/antimony-oxide interfaces in 2D materials.
