IntroductIonPulmonary hydatidosis is a parasitic infection caused by Echino co ccus granulosus, m o s t co m m o n l y a f f e c t i n g immunocompromised individuals.Lophomonas blattarum is a rare emerging pathogen that affects the lungs.Coinfection with these two organisms is a rare entity, presenting as a lower respiratory tract infection with no specific diagnostic tests available.In this report, a combined approach involving clinical history, diagnostic evaluation, and management is discussed.
