ABSTRACT In this paper, we proposed a method to judge the occurrence of approximately 6 Hz flicker caused by the islanding detection function equipped in PCSs connected to low voltage distribution systems. We compared the experimental results in a full‐scale distribution facility with the judgment results and confirmed that the judgment accuracy was sufficient. Furthermore, we confirmed that a tool using this method can judge the occurrence of flickers on a distribution system scale within a period that is practical.
