Lay Summary Cancer research is rapidly evolving, with growing emphasis on genomic data and biomarker testing to guide treatments. In this study, we manually reviewed the health records of 30 lung cancer patients to see how their data and biomarker information are transformed into other data sources commonly used for research, such as the Cancer Registry and the FHIR standard. We aimed to identify any information-loss or misrepresentation that occurs during this process.
